MASTER ARCHITECTS
TYPOGRAPHY, POSTER DESIGN, AND EVENT MARKETING
Three architects, Zaha Hadid, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Antoni Gaudi, represent the relationship between landscape and architecture in different ways.
PROCESS: SKETCHES
Began by creating sketches that articulated the feeling of their architecture. By doing this I conducted research on many of their historical monuments where I came across the sketches they created in their initial ideation phases.

PROCESS: ILLUSTRATOR SKETCHES
Gaudi primarily favors blending architecture and nature into one. I formulated ideas incorporating materials he used, nature aspects, and organic qualities. I wanted to highlight Zaha Hadid’s love for modern architectural design and how she completely deconstructs the surrounding space. I created concepts enhancing the sharpness of her buildings with the use of line and shape. Lastly, Wright combines all three elements of architecture, nature, and man while also presenting his influence on the De Stijl art movement.
To gather a better idea of what their posters would look I referenced images of their architecture allowing me to translate features in an accurate way.
FINAL POSTERS
The creation of highly unique works begins with Antoni Gaudi. His great use of mosaic and textured material within his architecture is what qualifies him as a master architect. Gaudi had a great appreciation for nature as seen in his work Park Guell. This structure created blends into the environment. To represent the park, I included the lizard that can be discovered at the entrance.
Frank Lloyd Wright is admired for his expressive, organic, and fluent American architectural style. He has a background in DeStijl art seen throughout his home interiors, so I included a graphic tracing of his stained glass windows.
Zaha Hadid tends to create abstract elements that make her work stand out. Featured in the poster contains a napkin drawing from a series she conducted with multiple architects.
